Managing Discussion Subscriptions

When you log in, in the upper right area, you'll see a my account link which takes you to your personal page.  One of the tabs there is called Manage My Subscriptions.  This is where you control the subscriptions to the discussions areas.

On this page you will see all of the groups you are currently a member of.  Here is where you can make the choice of how you will be notified of discussions.  If you leave the setting at email, it will act just like Mailman did.  You will be sent an email whenever thefre is activity in the discussion.  You can create a new discussion by emailing the email for the group, in this case testes@nwc.mkp.org. If yiu want to comment on a current discussion, reply to the email fro that discussion.

You also have the option of choosing no email for that group.  What this means is that no emails will be sent out for the group, but you can go to the group page to track the discussion.  This would be a good choice for groups that you want to belong to, but send out too man damn emails.

The last choice you can make here is for a digest email, which will send a summary of the emails.

By default you are subscribed to email.

You also have options when you receive the email. You can choose to unsubscribe from that thread.  Yiou will still be subscribed for the group, but anything from that thread will not be sent by email, although it will still be on the discussion page.
